Hiiumaa Wedding
We’re Getting Married!
And we’d love for you to be there with us!
We know that planning your trip to Estonia might require some extra coordination, so we’ve gathered all the important details to make it as easy as possible for you! This page will be updated as we get closer to the event :)
Travel Info
Travel to Estonia:
There are a few options to get to Tallinn (the capital of Estonia):
· Option 1: Direct flight from Luton to Tallinn Airport (We find this the easiest and fastest route).
· Option 2: Fly from Birmingham to Tallinn (with a short transfer, usually in Frankfurt or Amsterdam).
· Option 3: Direct flight from Stansted to Tallinn.
· Option 4: If you’re up for a real adventure, take a 32-hour road trip across Europe! :)
We recommend booking flights early and use www.skyscanner.net to compare options
And if you need any help or advice with your travel plans, feel free to reach out to us.
Travel in Estonia:
Once you land in Tallinn, you’ll need to hop around a bit to get to Hiiumaa Island.
Car Hire: There are plenty of rental car and van options, and most offer car seats, if needed.
Group Transport: If you are traveling with a group and would prefer to ride together, let us know - we’d be happy to assist with renting a van or help organise shared transport for you.
There should also be option to get a coach from Tallinn to Kärdla (biggest town in Hiiumaa) we can organise a transfer to the venue from there if you let us know in advance.
Fly from Tallinn to Kärdla (Hiiumaa): If it works better with your plans and you would like to avoid car/van hire and public transport you can also hop on a flight from Tallinn Airport to Kärdla. There are usually two flights to Hiiumaa each day- 07:30 and 17:00 and returning flights usually take off 10:00. It takes 30 minutes and prices start from 28 Euros each way. Once you are on the island we can pick you up, just let us know in advance :)

Ferry to Hiiumaa:
The wedding will take place on Hiiumaa Island, and getting there is half the fun! You need to catch a ferry from Rohuküla Port, about a 90 minute drive from Tallinn Airport. Ferries run about every 90 minutes during the summer season and take around 75 minutes to reach the island.
Tip: There’s a live queue for about half of the ferry’s capacity, and the rest is booked online. If you’d like to reserve your spot in advance, head over to www.praamid.ee to book your tickets closer to the date.
Venue & Accommodation:
The wedding celebrations will take place at Pauka Puhkemaja holiday house, just a short walk from Karen’s grandmother’s beach, where the ceremony will be held.
Wedding Venue Address:
Pauka Puhkemaja
Poama küla, Hiiumaa, 92259, Estonia
www.paukapuhkemaja.ee (only in Estonian, sorry!)
Or visit on Booking.com for more details.
The venue features three larger buildings for accommodation and nine smaller lodges. For the reception, we’ll have a large stretch fabric tent set up.
We can't wait to celebrate with you from July 23rd to July 26th!
We’ll be covering the accommodation and everything else for the wedding night on the 24th (so you can really kick back and enjoy the evening!).
We know the venue is not close for a lot of you, so we’ve reserved rooms for the 23rd and 25th of July as well. If you'd like to stay the entire duration (July 23rd–26th), the cost will be £150 per family for the two additional nights.
Of course, there are other accommodation options on the island if you’d prefer to stay elsewhere, but we’d absolutely love for you to join us at Pauka Puhkemaja to make the most of this epic celebration.
Pre Wedding Relaxation (July 23rd)
The day before the wedding will be all about getting there, catching up, and relaxing. There will be kitchen and BBQ facilities available for your use. We’re also arranging a street food truck for those who prefer not to cook (they will also be there day after the wedding).
Day after the wedding (July 25th)
The day after the wedding will be all about recovery! There are plenty of things to see and do nearby, and we will be happy to share recommendations if you’d like to explore.

We are beyond excited to share this incredible journey with you, and we hope you can be part of our big day!
